It’s gratifying seeing these cats at leisure to be cats, absent the pressure of having to find something to eat. Leaving kibble out for the ferals in our neighborhood has earned its dividend.
We’re especially fond of the one below, whom we call Li’l Gray Flannel. Her coat, and that of Tortie, has improved greatly in the last month. They’re no longer quite so raggedy.
These cats still maintain their two-square block range, and, I presume, their usual sleeping arrangements in one of the several abandoned houses within this small area. It’s good to have them hanging out, though. Watching them oh-so-slowly cross the street never gets easier.
Meanwhile, life goes on with the Fab Furry Five indoors. We haven’t abandoned them.
